About Us

Moteo Marae is one of the many hearts of our local iwi Ngati Kahungunu. Our main purpose as a Marae is to provide a meeting place, open space for recreation, buildings and facilities to hire for the common use of our beneficiaries and local community.

Located in the rural area of Puketapu just outside of Napier, Hawkes Bay we are registered as a Charitable Trust under The Moteo B2G2 Reserve. The beneficiaries of the Marae are all descendants of Ngāti Kahungunu iwi from the following three hapū.

Ngai Tāwhao   Ngāti Hinepare   Ngāti Maahu.
